Santorini Greece

The Place of the Gods

Santorini Greece, Sunset, Caldera
If you willing to travel the distance it is definitely worth it.  Santorini Greece is a heavenly place that will sweep you off your feet literally.  Santorini's layout is basically the result of an enormous volcanic eruption.  It sits on top of 980 foot cliffs and is surrounded by the medditeranian sea!  It remains as the most active volcanic center of the south Aegean Volcanic Arc. Not to worry the last eruption was in 1950!

Where to Stay

Perivolas Hotel:  Of all the options in Santorini this place doesn't get enough credit or attention.  It is the place to go if you want the best "cave style" hotel.  Each room has its own balcony that overlooks that caldera.  The service is top notch and everyone is there to make your experience a little brighter. The infinity pool has a view that will make you feel like you are on top of the world.  This place has a ton of stairs and winding passageways.

Where to Eat

Ambrosia Restaurant- Has the best food and the best outdoor views period.  This tiny restaurant overlooks the water and has food that will want to make you splurge for a second trip.  They serve all the Mediterranean favorites including; fresh fish, pasta and don't forget to try the strawberry soup with homemade vanilla ice cream!  If that's not enough they also have a huge selection of European wines.  This has to be your destination for date night.

What to do

If relaxing by the pool and soaking up some sun isn't enough for you and you are looking for some adventure make sure to check out the cliff jumping off the tiny Church in Amoudi Bay.  Be super prepared and bring water shoes to protect your feet from the sharp rocks!

St. Barth's

St. Barths, Vacation, blue water, Island, Boating, Swimming, Travel, Caribbean, West Indies,

St. Barth's is one of those places you have to visit before you die. Its completely unlike many other islands in the Caribbean and west indies.  Not one single part of it has been over taken and trashed by tourists and it remains as my favorite place to vacation... If I can afford it.

How To Get There

Since there are no direct flights unless flying privately you must fly into St. Martin.

Isle-de-France- Is rated number one of the hotels located on "Anse des Flamands" beach and was on Conde' Nast Travelers Gold list in 2011-2012.  It has hidden cottages scattered throughout its property as well as ocean front rooms.  They provide light french food which can be served directly on the beach!  What could be more magnificent?

Bored of beachin' it?...

There are a number of different activities to get involved in including; Cliff jumping, Sailing, Scuba Diving, Eating, and Hiking.  So whatever your heart desires this beautiful Oasis has you covered.

Le Ti St. Barth-  Is a classic but "scenie" place to go for dinner if you are looking to party and have the time of your life.  Waiters dressed in pirate costumes will greet you and dancers will entertain you to the point of no return.  You might even end up in one of their "costume rooms" where you can choose from an assortment of options to become part of the entertainment.

Montauk "The End"

Montauk "The End"

A secluded peaceful beach on the Atlantic with a laid back vibe awaits the summer traveler...

After a long and brutal winter in New York city I ventured to the end of the island and found myself on one of the most peaceful beaches I had ever seen.

Where to Stay

Ruchmeyer's: A place to see and be seen

If your looking for a rustic hotel combined with outdoor night life and, this is your place.  Rushmeyer's is Nestled underneath canopied trees with cabins along the shore line that date back to the 1952. A few years ago the place was revamped but still holds true to its roots.  Its community vibe makes it good for families as well as couples.  Standard queen rooms start at $440 per night with a two night minimum.  At the restaurant you will find assorted fresh seafood dishes by the chefs of "The Smile" in New York.  The hotel also is situated on "Fort Pond" and offers: Bike rentals, paddle board lessons, yoga and free in room wifi.  You will truly feel like you are staying at a camp for grown ups, which is a good thing if you ask me.

Venturing out
